And honorable guests
On behalf of Silpakorn University, I feel highly honored for your kind presence in the official press conference of Silpakorn University International College.
For 60 years, Silpakorn University has realised the importance of education and has therefore devoted to create proficient graduates in response to the demand of high competitive labour market. The establishment of Silpakorn University International College (SUIC) is considered a beautiful step, which helps encourage graduates to graciously become a forefront in the market.
In addition to the provision of academic services, seminars, workshops, and training in art conservation and restoration, the Silpakorn University International College also aims to offer efficient international programs. In the next semester, SUIC will offer two international programs including the Hospitality Management Program and the Painting Conservation Program at the Petchaburi Information Technology Campus.
The Hospitality Management is a collaborative program between Silpakorn University and Institut Vatel, which is considered one of the best hotel and hospitality management schools in Europe. The curriculum emphasising both theoretical and practical lessons will enhance the potential of students into the international standard. With dual degrees given, graduates are guaranteed to professionally work in both in-country and overseas hospitality management industries, especially in the Vatel network around the world.
The Painting Conservation is the other program to be offered in this coming semester. The program is cooperatively established by Silpakorn University and the Restaurateurs Sans Frontières (RSF), the organisation offering conservation and restoration services throughout the world, with the aim to increase the number of professional conservators and restorers in Thailand. Not only theoretical and practical courses in conservation but necessary courses such as marketing and management are provided as well. Accordingly, I am confident that the students can learn appropriate techniques of conservation and restoration and therefore can proficiently work in RSF network and other conservation organisation in Southeast Asia and other region.
In addition, SUIC has planed to offer Multimedia Design Program with foreign institute in order to improve the students' skills through the propagation of modern techniques in art and design in the near future.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am certain that the parents are always looking for the best thing for our children. I therefore would be pleased should you consider SUIC a good option for them since our programs are established to path their way to become successful in their career life.
On this opportunity, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to H.E. Laurent Aublin, Ambassador of France, for presiding over the SUIC press conference Mr. Molinari and Mr. Tessier for your useful suggestions, and my sincerest thanks to Ms. Rapeepan Luang-aramrut for accepting to be our advisor and our honorable speaker today. Also, I would like to thank honorable guests for your warm welcome. Thank you.
